Two Canadian Women have signed a Pro Signed a Deal with 888 Online Poker

888 Poker, like most online poker sites, actually runs its own pro online poker team. These online poker teams are usually invite only, and are almost entirely dominated by males, with the USA being the most well represented country in professional online poker. Well, we have just found out that something different has happened with the invite to the pro online poker team at 888 online poker this time around. As it is a pair of female online poker players that has been invited to the team, and she is from Canada.

The young ladies from Canada in question are Sofia Lovgren and Zuan Liu. Both of them have been invited to play for the 888 online poker pro team, so this is great news for online poker fans from Canada, especially female ones.

Both of these women have long and successful records as online poker players, and both have been ranked regularly in top lists of online poker players from Canada. Xuan Liu in particular, who is from Toronto Canada, has done very well in her online poker career, netting some estimated $1.4 million in total. This includes taking 4th place in the PokerStars Caribean Adventure a couple of years back now.

Both of these young female online poker players will now play for the 888 online poker pro team, and they will both make very good representatives for Canada in coming events around the world.

One thing we can take away from this, is that when it comes to online poker, there really is still room at the top. Players come and players go, and this means that if you are good enough, and work hard enough, and of course, are lucky enough, you could still find yourself hitting a cool six figure income playing online poker, even though there are so many people trying to make a living this way. Why is this? Well, there may be plenty of people trying to make a living playing online poker, even in Canada, but the majority of these are grinders, they are only playing small bet tables, and looking to make money by simply staying in the game and earning slowly. Now, if you are a real online poker, on top of your game, and up for the challenge, these online poker grinders are not your competition. So, there is always room for more people at the top, as older champions slip down the ladder, as these two women from Canada show.
